What: No, it is not a full traditional Albanian menu. Yes, burek is considering fast food in Albania and isn’t on a traditional restaurant’s menu. We know. We’ve eaten burek all over the Balkans, but when we think of eating Albanian food back home, the first place that comes to mine is Dukagjini Burek, home to burek perfection. Head over to Pelham Gardens in the Bronx, sit down, order a slice or two (any variety will do) and don’t forget the yogurt. Finish your meal by sipping on some of the best espresso in NYC, as well.
